State voter concerns

Affordability

  • Housing supply: Lowering zoning barriers to build more multi-family units and lower-cost housing.
  • Tax relief: Implementing state income tax cuts, property tax caps, or expanding sales tax exemptions on essentials.
  • Childcare subsidies: Expanding state-funded pre-K programs and providing tax credits for working parents.

Insurance

  • Market stability: Attracting private insurers by reforming litigation laws to reduce frivolous lawsuits.
  • State backstops: Strengthening state-run insurers of last resort to protect homeowners in disaster-prone areas.
  • Mitigation incentives: Offering premium discounts or grants to homeowners who fortify properties against storms or wildfires.

Guns

  • Safety regulations: Implementing universal background checks, red-flag laws, and mandatory waiting periods.
  • Rights protection: Expanding concealed carry permits, enacting constitutional carry, and protecting gun manufacturer liability.
  • School safety: Increasing funding for school resource officers, physical security upgrades, and mental health support.

Immigration

  • Border enforcement: Deploying state National Guard units and funding state-level physical border barriers. Illegals will need to be turned away or deported; no long term incarcerations which cost the tax payers.
  • Integration programs: Expanding access to English classes, professional licensing for immigrants, and legal aid, while taking into consideration who will be funding this.
  • Employment verification: Mandating the use of E-Verify systems for businesses to check legal work status. All citizens must file taxes, even those working on their legal status through the immigration system. Everyone must have valid ID and paperwork.

Redistricting

  • Independent commissions: Transferring line-drawing power from state legislatures to non-partisan citizen panels.
  • Strict criteria: Requiring districts to keep cities intact, respect geographic boundaries, and avoid partisan favoritism.
  • Transparency mandates: Requiring public map-submission portals, open hearings, and published mathematical compact-scoring
